TEXAS UPDATE.
I’ve been here in Texas helping out my father build a new dojang for the past two weeks. I’m also working remotely on a few projects while I’m here.

It’s starting to get hot. But other then that it’s nice to get away from the city and spend some quality time with my dad. Even if we’re working everyday. The schedule so far is we work during the week, he’s a Taekwondo Master and I work in the office doing my thing. Weekends are at the construction site. I haven’t been shooting my day to day or anything personal but I do have a lot of content that I haven’t published since April 1. Let’s dive into that:
APRIL 1.
My buddy Mike invited me to a screening of the movie he shot promos for. While walking downtown to the location I was stopped on the street for a pilot they were shooting.

While I waited for the scene to wrap up I asked the production assistant what they were shooting and what it was about. They were shooting Ironside, starring Blair Underwood. ”It’s about a tough, maverick cop in a wheelchair who plays by his own beat.” -PA. The first thing that popped into my head was that American Dad episode where the Roger (Alien) and Steve plays a role as Wheels and Legman. Couldn’t help but chuckle a bit.

Ironside was actually a popular series from 1967-1975. A reboot of the series staring Underwood. Underwood is a great performer and it was nice to see him work. The last time I saw him was for a video interview I shot for Back Stage, a broadway show: A Street Car Named Desire. He’s a nice guy and I wish him the best on his new series.
I personally didn’t like this extra in the blue. He’s playing the Jogger. Before they were about to start shooting the scene this guy was barking at everyone walking (non-acting pedestrians) to get out of his way. He wasn’t running yet but he was determined to run in a straight line. Those poor tourist. Rude and unprofessional, and I’m sure he didn’t show up in the background.

For a minute Mike and I thought this was a Marvel superhero. You know that Stan Lee always makes a cameo on his characters movies. Thought this was a new Marvel TV show. Come on, this extra looks just like Stan Lee.

The mannequin in the pink freaked me out.

Stay tuned for the rest of April 2013.
