My first fashion look-book! Before we dive right into it, I would like to thank everyone involved with this project and especially to each of the ‘rugby’ players! They did a great job and really dove into character to deliver all of these great shots! It was tough going through 900+ images and picking out 13 of our favorite. It was by far one of my favorite shoots to be a part of.

“They say time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself” - Andy Warhol
This is the new collection from the 2011 Rivals of Time, “It’s Our Time”. The photo shoot took place at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx. I wanted to present the pieces without focusing too much on the clothing. I know.. it’s a fashion look book for their new collection.

Why the Rugby theme? Well because of one of the items we noticed in the new line up: the Shirtfaced Stance long Sleeve Shirt. The aesthetics of the shirt looked like a team jersey. Baseball, basketball, football and the other football have all been done to death with other campaigns so we wanted to go with something different. Quidditch. But we didn’t want to piss off J. K. Rowling.
But all jokes aside Rugby is a serious and intense sport and we wanted to have that same intensity as we showcased the new collection. And I think we did it. Even a former college Rugby player came by to see which team we played for. Awesome!

1 second after impact
I wanted all the images to be frozen in time as the players moved. Every impact and expression isn’t exaggerated. The image above is Sterling (the runner) moving as fast as he can as Ramone holds on. The way the shot worked was as Sterling was running, Ramone runs from the other direction. I directed them to make the impact a few feet away from me and told Sterling to keep on running. Looking at the image it must of been difficult for both of them. Thank you guys for that shot! I truly appreciate it.

Don’t forget to check out Rivals of Time’s new Collection coming soon! Also all the images are available for download here!
Enjoy!
